Vicwilgo Field
Once again progress has claimed a classic park. It seems that the major league team playing
at VCR Park was the victim of league contraction when the facility became outdated. But a
spiffy new minor league club took its place, assuming control of the old park's site.
Not needing so much room, and owing to the fact that it was getting a bit dusty, they tore
down the old facility, but determined to erect an elegant new park on exactly the same site.
They even saved the original entrance to Lego Stadium, and incorporated it as the entrance
to a new baseball museum.
The new field takes its name from one of the staunchest baseball fans in the area.

The last remains of VCR Park, before construction on the new field began.
Three blimp's-eye views of the new, simpler field.

A close-up of the stands.

Once again the entrance to old Lego Stadium finds a new use, this time as a baseball museum.
Two views of the park in the late afternoon sun...

...and one late at night in the moonlight.
